Diagnostic ultrasound can help to see and diagnose injuries which can help to assist in the treatment of your pain.
What can diagnostic ultrasound diagnose?
Diagnostic ultrasound can be useful for diagnosing the following:
- Shoulders; tears, tendinopathy, bursitis and frozen shoulders
- Wrists; joint inflammation, ligament and tendon problems
- Elbows; joint inflammation, ligament and tendon problems
- Hands; thumbs osteoarthritis, thumb tendinitis
- Hip; gluteal tendons, bursitis and hamstrings tears
- Knee; ligament tears, tendinopathy, muscle tears, osteoarthritis changes
- Ankle; ligament tears, tendinopathy, joint inflammation
- Foot; plantar fascia, mid-foot joints, plantar plates, big toe osteoarthritis and morton’s neuroma
- Identifying cause of spinal pain and it cannot see this deep.

Who does it?
Tom runs a clinic on Thursdays offering Osteopathy, Shockwave Therapy and Diagnostic Ultrasound Scanning.
An appointment for Diagnostic Ultrasound with Tom will cost £130 and will last 30 minutes. The appointment will include a case history, thorough assessment, scan with a written report of your scan, and most importantly advice on your next steps to recovery.
