Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave Therapy is the application of high energy sound waves that are used to help stimulate healing in soft tissue structures, reduce inflammation and de-sensitise nerves. It is an increasingly popular treatment in part due to its positive medical research and endorsements in NICE guidelines. Our Shockwave Therapist, Tom, provides a brief introduction to this treatment in the video below.

How does it work?
How will the treatment feel?
Shockwave Therapy is not painful, but it can feel uncomfortable. Initially after treatment there can be some immediate relief. Some tenderness around the treatment area can be experienced afterwards as the effects of the Shockwave start to work.
Who provides the treatment?
Tom runs a clinic on Thursdays offering Osteopathy, Shockwave Therapy and Diagnostic Ultrasound Scanning. An appointment for a Diagnostic Ultrasound Scan with Tom costs £110.00 and will last 30 minutes. The appointment will include a case history, thorough assessment, the scan and a written report of your scan, and most importantly advice on your next steps to recovery.
